[00:00:09.160]
In this video, I want to explore the next
[00:00:11.920]
page builder, that we have, which is
Elementor. Elementor is super popular.
[00:00:17.720]
It has a really nice user interface,
its drag and drop as well,
[00:00:24.240]
similar to Beaver Builder,
and it has a lot of flexibility with it.
[00:00:29.320]
So let's go in.
[00:00:31.040]
I have installed it already.
[00:00:32.600]
You can go in and click on Activate.
[00:00:44.040]
And here we have a little getting
started video that we can go ahead and
[00:00:49.600]
add to the content as well,
but let's go in and create a first page.
[00:01:07.600]
Alright, so if you watched
the Beaver Builder demo, this is similar.
[00:01:13.960]
We have the elements on the left
instead of the right, and we also have
[00:01:21.320]
rows, where we can add
the elements to begin with here.
[00:01:26.840]
So there's two ways to add elements.
[00:01:29.880]
You can either click on the plus
[00:01:32.400]
and then you're going
to choose your column layouts
[00:01:34.960]
similar to Beaver Builder.
[00:01:39.400]
And then from there,
[00:01:40.760]
you can click on the plus again and you'll
get all of the different options that
[00:01:46.120]
you might want for this,
and you click and drag.
[00:01:50.880]
And they will add the image there,
instead of having a pop up dialog box
[00:01:56.760]
that has all of the options,
we have on the left
[00:02:00.280]
this changes into options
for that element.
[00:02:04.880]
So if we click on,
[00:02:07.680]
I clicked on the little shoes image, and we have
our images again going and insert.
[00:02:17.000]
Here we have and style,
[00:02:20.800]
we have some options for the width, the max width,
with the opacity
[00:02:27.240]
border option and then the border radius
out with Beaver Builder.
[00:02:32.760]
This is a way to kind of add
a little bit of a circle,
[00:02:37.800]
without fully creating the circle.
[00:02:41.120]
You also have
[00:02:43.520]
here, options for the caption
and to link an alignment.
[00:02:50.560]
In Beaver Builder, something to kind of
[00:02:54.520]
have in mind some of the differences here
is we have quick ways to kind of resize
[00:03:02.200]
the images to a circle, to a square,
to panorama and different options. Here
[00:03:08.360]
we don't have those
options readily available.
[00:03:11.200]
You kind of tweak as you go
and add some CSS as well.
[00:03:15.960]
If you want something specific,
[00:03:17.960]
there is kind of a with and you
play with the height.
[00:03:22.840]
There are some CSS filters.
[00:03:24.680]
These are things like brightness
and contrast, saturation and hue.
[00:03:31.320]
The so that's something that's new,
[00:03:34.360]
that doesn't exist in Beaver Builder,
so there's different options,
[00:03:37.960]
depending on Beaver Builder or Elementor
or the page folder that you're using,
[00:03:43.880]
you're going to have different
options that you can go in and use.
[00:03:51.000]
One nice thing about the free version
[00:03:53.120]
of Elementor, again,
this is a completely free plug in,
[00:03:56.120]
there is a pro version,
but the free version, I believe, has more
[00:04:02.640]
opportunity than
the Beaver Builder free version.
[00:04:06.040]
They really push you to get the pro
version for Beaver Builder,
[00:04:09.760]
whereas the Elementor version has a lot
to give you in their free version.
[00:04:16.240]
So the other thing that we have
is you can add a template.
[00:04:22.240]
And there are templates
are available for free.
[00:04:27.040]
That you can add in,
[00:04:28.200]
so this is similar to what I was talking
about in Beaver Builder,
[00:04:32.400]
but you have some that are free,
you have some that are pro
[00:04:36.480]
and the pro ones, you do have to purchase
their pro plugin,
[00:04:40.840]
but there are several that are free
that you can just go in and add.
[00:04:44.720]
So if we wanted
[00:04:46.960]
[00:04:49.200]
study page, landing page
or travel landing page?
[00:04:53.880]
I'm sorry, that one's a pro, so these
four up here, an agency landing page.
[00:05:00.520]
So now the template has been added that we
[00:05:03.040]
have all the different
features of that template.
[00:05:06.000]
So this was the agency template.
[00:05:09.560]
And so they have some dummy content.
[00:05:12.400]
They have an image at the top.
[00:05:14.760]
We still have our image.
[00:05:16.440]
So you can remove that and you can also
move just like we could and Beaver Builder
[00:05:22.280]
with the six dots so we can delete
the section and just look at our template here.
[00:05:31.200]
 And then each of these,
you can just go in and click.
[00:05:34.680]
One nice thing about Elementor is that you
can edit the text straight in the box.
[00:05:41.480]
So,
[00:05:46.080]
change to fall in love, you
can go in and edit straight in there.
[00:05:57.800]
It's a nice little page builder.
I'm quickly kind of changing my mind about
[00:06:00.920]
Beaver Builder, I think they're
both really, really good builders.
[00:06:04.600]
I still prefer Beaver Builder,
[00:06:06.640]
but it's more that I'm
just more used to it.
[00:06:10.000]
Elementor has really impressed me with
the times I've used on client sites
[00:06:15.840]
and in demos and so forth,
and I think it has a lot to offer.
[00:06:21.400]
So it's Elementor to publish.
[00:06:26.000]
You would just click on Publish here.
[00:06:28.360]
You also have options to save,
draft and save as a template.
[00:06:34.720]
[00:06:37.960]
And it doesn't automatically refresh you,
you can click on have a look.
[00:06:44.080]
You can also click on the drop
down menu and go to the page.
[00:06:54.040]
So there's our page.
[00:07:01.080]
OK, so on Elementor,
[00:07:03.920]
unlike Beaver Builder, you don't get
unlimited sites right off the bat.
[00:07:07.280]
You get one site for $49 dollars
and then if you want to use it on multiple
[00:07:13.040]
sites, it's going to be
up to $99 dollars.
[00:07:17.120]
I don't know about their
multi-site tools.
[00:07:20.840]
You might have to go up to $199
[00:07:23.600]
if you're multi-site has
more than 3 sites.
[00:07:27.760]
They have more of a
[00:07:30.960]
strict, so say
[00:07:34.400]
way to get pro. I think their focus is
[00:07:37.480]
more on people that just have one site
and want a really great page folder,
[00:07:43.040]
whereas Beaver Builder focus is more
agencies and others that will be adding it
[00:07:49.960]
to their client sites and supporting
their clients for Beaver Builder.
[00:07:56.120]
So really great builders out there.
[00:07:59.040]
These are just two that I'm familiar
[00:08:01.040]
with and I like, but there are many
others that you can go and explore.
